My family’s journey in the portrait business began during WWII, when my grandfather John and his brother Jim picked up their cameras in the 1940s. They established Reid Studios in Muncie, Indiana, shortly after the war. The studio was purchased by Lifetouch in 1971 and became the Senior Portrait division of the company. Growing up in this business, I watched most of my family work for or be connected to Lifetouch throughout the last century.
It wasn't until my daughter was born in 2016 that I truly felt the significance of our legacy. After moving to Steamboat Springs in 2018, I dedicated myself to continuing the work of my grandfather and great-uncle. Being part of people’s lives through portraiture is incredibly meaningful to me. I strive to make everyone feel special and to create memories that will be cherished by future generations.
I think my photography is vibrant, diverse, and stylish. It features a mix of fashion-forward portraits, outdoor scenes, and lifestyle shots, reflecting a blend of sophistication and natural beauty. The variety in the images suggests a dynamic and multifaceted experience.
